BUTTE COUNTY MEASLES OUTBREAK ‘INTERRUPTED’

(BUTTE COUNTY) – Good news on the measles front.

Butte County Public Health says the recent measles outbreak seems to have been what they call interrupted. They say if no additional cases occur, the outbreak will be declared over on June 2…adding, it’s been two incubation periods, 7 to 21 days each, since the last case was reported.

There were a total of 11 measles cases reported in Butte County…all were related to each other. There have been confirmed measles cases reported in Tehama and Shasta counties, too.
