Progress is being made on Sutter County’s emergency homeless shelter, Better Way. Construction for the homeless in Yuba City is moving forward with special sheds arriving yesterday at the Live Oak Boulevard operation. Sutter County officials say the sheds can be used for up to 90 days as an emergency shelter for temporary housing. Each shed has room for two twin beds and even a cage for pets. Air conditioning will also be available. Construction is expected to be completed next week on this facility, which is similar to what has been done in Yuba County, with the 14Forward program.
